A British man has been arrested in Australia accused of faking his own death so his wife could claim life insurance.
Hugo Jose Sanchez, 47, may be extradited to the UK after being caught in Sydney on Wednesday following a five-year manhunt, the BBC reports.
Sanchez stands accused of faking his own death to secure a life insurance payout of £1m for his wife.
His wife Sophie told his employers he died in South America, but suspicions were aroused when his fingerprints were allegedly found on his death certificate.
Mrs Sanchez is currently serving a two-year prison sentence after admitting her part in the fraud.
