Property search website Zoopla.co.uk recorded its highest ever level of visits in January, as strong homebuyer enquiries kicked off 2012.
In the second week of January, a record three million home movers visited Zoopl's website, with 450,000 in just one day.
In addition, the number of users accessing the website via mobile apps has risen sharply to represent 15% of all Zoopla's traffic.
Alex Chesterman, founder and CEO of Zoopla, said: "We are delighted with the strong start to the year and are hopeful that the record search and enquiry levels on our website prove an early indicator of overall market interest and increased market activity in 2012."
