mortgageforce, the mortgage franchise operation, has appointed Steve Wilkins as head of training and personal development. He will take national responsibility for professional standards.
Wilkins comes to mortgageforce from Winterthur Life UK, where he was head of sales training and training and competency officer. His previous roles at Winterthur were national development manager and field sales training manager.
Wilkins is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB) and he is also an examiner for the Institute of Financial Services CeMAP examination.

HomeLoan Partnership (HLP), the broker support network, has taken on Steve Holt as its first director of compliance. HLP created the post in response to imminent FSA regulation. Holt’s remit is to develop an infra- structure delivering compliance support to brokers. He will also assist brokers with the compulsory mortgage qualifications that will become mandatory in January 2003. Holt was formerly head of compliance at packager MCA Finance.
