The Bank of Ireland Mortgages has appointed Kevin Purvey as acting head of sales.

Purvey will fill the shoes of Roland McCormack, who, in turn, is acting as managing director until the end of January 2002.

Purvey has been with the Bank of Ireland for 11 years. He joined as a sales executive in the East Midlands, and has spent the last two years as one of Bank of Ireland Mortgages national account managers.

Before joining the Bank of Ireland, Purvey held the position of life inspector with Legal & General and has also been a mortgage broker.

To date he plans to return to his previous post on the return of McCormack from his stint as managing director.
