Mortgage 2000 has added a range of legal services to its mortgage software, enabling intermediaries to offer clients wills, tenancy, pre-nuptial or co-habitation agreements.

Simon Nixon, chief executive of Mortgage 2000, said: ‘These are some of the most common legal agreements the average person would need, which would usually cost them hundreds of pounds in solicitors’ fees and yet can be easily done by an adviser.’

Advisers get a guide on how the forms work, and what they need to recommend as they talk the customer through to completion. The adviser can charge their normal hourly rate for completing the documents, which will still be a lot cheaper for the client than a solicitor. The new legal service is a free upgrade included in the £23 per month subscription.
