Synaptic Systems, technology supplier to the adviser marketplace, has appointed Jon Finley as e-commerce business development manager. He will be responsible for the company’s presence with life offices and IFAs. Finley has 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry and has worked in banking, direct sales and the IFA sector. He has recently worked for Misys as a team member building its IFA portal and developing IFA software.

He said: ‘With the recent FSA announcements, advisers need to ensure they have the best technology. Whatever the future of the financial adviser marketplace, technology will continue to help demonstrate the value of truly independent advice.’

Marlborough Sterling

Adrian Guttridge has joined financial services technology provider Marlborough Sterling as software director. He will be responsible for managing development and integration of the company’s software solutions.

Guttridge has over 18 years’ experience in IT. He previously worked for Accenture as director within its insurance practice, and has held senior roles within PruTech, the sourcing arrangement between Accenture and Prudential.
