CETA has launched a new accident, sickness and unemployment (ASU) product targeting tenants renting property. The ASU will provide income of up to £1,500 a month.
David Quick, managing director at CETA, said: ‘ We asked our members what they wanted, and they requested policies for people who rent, so that if they were out of work, their rent would be covered.’
At £6.08 for £100 of cover, premiums are high compared with other ASU products, but this is due to rent payers being perceived as riskier than homeowners.
