Mortgage brokers using Legal & General’s Mortgage Decisions software can access a host of new online services including approvals in principle (AIPs), following Yorkshire Building Society’s decision to offer online services through Mortgage Decisions.

Advisers are able to submit applications online and data from the AIP is used to pre-populate the application, saving time on the broker’s side.

John Cupis, sales and marketing director of Legal & General’s Mortgage Club said: ‘The commitment of Yorkshire Building Society and other lenders to deliver functionality for Mortgage Decisions users is providing real benefits in terms of time and cost to intermediaries to conduct their mortgage business online. We are prog-ressing with the development of online links with lenders and will launch a second service ‘ offering more choice and greater functionality in the spring.’
