The Woolwich has issued a complaint about a survey from franchise operation Mortgageforce, writes Paul Robertson. The survey reports that some of the best known lenders in the market are the worst performers in terms of service to the intermediary, highlighting Woolwich as a prime case.
Mortgageforce claims to have been given ‘dozens’ of case studies where both client and mortgage consultant had suffered ‘serious service short comings from the lender’. The Woolwich notes the survey is anecdotal rather than statistically-based and that, to date, Mortgageforce has not provided specific details of any problems. However, it has said that it will make contact with Mortgageforce in order to address the issues raised in the survey.
