Mortgages plc has launched a new website offering information and tools for investigating the non-conforming market.

The site is aimed at three sections of the market and split into three zones: intermediaries, corporate and consumer. It is the first site in the non-conforming market offering a section dedicated to packagers. Although all Mortgage plc’s business is introduced via advisers, the website offers a section aimed at consumers, a mortgage calculator and also explains jargon.

Julian Wells, marketing man-ager at Mortgages plc, said: ‘We felt it was important to provide potential customers with sufficient information to understand our company and to be able to research us online before taking out a mortgage with us. It is our hope that intermediaries will be able to use the consumer zone as a sales aid.’

Intermediaries registered for the site will be able to download the latest marketing material and place orders for stationery. The ‘PackagerToolbox’ section can be found in the intermediary zone, and contains bulletins and manuals specific to the packager market.

The new site is under constant review. Wells added: ‘We have more than 1,000 registered users and we are already working on key enhancements, such as an online decisions in principle for advisers to get an instant response.’
