Joint research from IFAonline.co.uk and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers has found that 99.76% of intermediaries use the internet, 94% of these use it to research products, 88% to gather quotes, 81% to read news and 43% now purchase financial products.
The results show a shift to a more technology friendly and technology- orientated industry. Almost three-quarters, 74%, of respondents felt: ‘Technology helps me to do my job better,’ or ‘I embrace new technology and can’t wait to get my hands on the latest gadget.’
