Building your business and developing better relationships with product providers is the theme of this year’s State of the Nation Conference on 2 October.

The one day event, at the QE II Conference Centre in London, will see up to 700 IFAs and leading product providers discuss key issues. Confirmed speakers include representatives from BM Solutions, Abbey National for IFAs, Fidelity, HSBC Asset Management, Scottish Widows, DWS Investments, and ISIS.

The event breaks down into a series of keynote speeches in which the groups will discuss the issues facing IFAs and possible solutions, followed by smaller workshop sessions.

Tim Weller, chief executive of Incisive Media, publisher of Mortgage Solutions and organiser of the event, said: “The key theme for this year’s event is one of partnership. In recent years the partnerships between product providers and IFAs have not been as effective as they have been historically. In an era when the industry is very much under the spotlight of consumers, consumer groups and regulators it is important that providers and advisers work more closely together.

The event also features an exhibition space and a separate ‘quiet’ area which delegates can use to hold private meetings. Entrance is free for all IFAs and includes conference notes, research materials, free lunch and refreshments.

l To register for the event visit www.the stateofthenation.co.uk or email: thestate ofthenation.com, or call Sophie Pope on 020 7432 6978. If you are interested in taking an exhibition stand please contact Rachel Calvert on 020 7968 4506, or email: rachel.calvert@incisivemedia.com
