FSA announces consumer panel appointment

The Financial Service Authority (FSA)has announced the appointment of Adam Phillips as the vice chairman of the Financial Services Consumer Panel.

Phillips takes over from Dianne Hayter who stood down at the end of September 2005.

Phillips is managing director of his own market research consultancy, Real Research, and has extensive experience in the world of market research. He has been a member of the Consumer Panel since March 2004.

Callum McCarthy, chairman of the FSA, welcomed Phillips to the new role. Hr said: “He will support John Howard, chairman of the Consumer Panel, as part of a strong team which acts as an independent consumer voice to the FSA.”
