Platform has pledged to re-invigorate the intermediary sector by providing brokers with necessary support to bolster their position in the mortgage market.

The intermediary only lender recently launched a new range of mainstream mortgage products and plans to follow this up with a selection of buy-to-let deals.

Lee Gladwell, director of sales & proposition at Platform, said it would actively engage with and
ask for feedback from brokers in order to deliver the best possible service.

He added: “We will be transparent about our service standards, proactively contact intermediaries at every step of the application process and pay procuration fees within 10 working days. We understand the problems which intermediaries are facing and will go the extra mile to provide them with the support needed to grow their market share.”

Michael Brill, director of Baronworth Services, said brokers needed a lender that would deal with intermediaries only.

He added: “It is good to have a lender which is completely focused on the intermediary market because brokers have been impacted by the credit crisis and the wider economic downturn.”
