Bower Retirement Services expands referral business
Bower Retirement Services is expanding its referral business with specialist advice and market expertise for advisers.

It has appointed Clara Curtis, who has previously worked for a range of major financial services groups, as national account manager at Bower Partnerships and enhanced its website to help build on existing business.

Advisers and introducers using the Partnerships’ arm will benefit from training and marketing services as well as full compliance support from the independent whole-of-market service. Clients will also benefit from special deals from lenders offered to Bower, including cashback and free valuations.

Bower Retirement Services says further investment into the service was the ‘logical’ next step, as it was receiving referrals from a range of introducers who ‘wanted to offer specialist advice to clients but did not have the in-house expertise or experience’.

Geoff Charles (pictured), its chief executive officer, added: “The growth in the equity release market with over-55s releasing more than £5m a day highlights the demand from clients and the need for introducers to provide the best possible advice while ensuring they do not run the risk and cost of compliance issues.”

Bower is investing further into its referral service after being appointed one of four national equity release specialists on the Legal & General Mortgage Club panel highlighting the strong growth in the market, which recorded record sales of £1.16bn in the nine months to September.
