In a broker statement, the lender said its ‘new and improved’ calculator will make it easier and quicker for advisers to do business.
It will include a new feature for bonus, commission and overtime remuneration, with questions which will enable Santander to automatically work out how it treats this income.
Additional changes include improvements to layout, clearer grouping of income types, simpler results and a streamlined customer commitments and expenditure section.
A spokesperson for Santander said: “We’re always looking at ways we can make our products and services more simple, personal and fair. The new calculator is intuitive, easy to use, optimised to work on smart phones and tablets and will enable brokers to see the maximum loan we will offer a customer in seconds.
“We hope this new calculator will make the process of securing a mortgage and a dream home easy for brokers and customers alike.”
