Halifax launches virtual criteria assistant for brokers
Halifax Intermediaries has launched a programme of digital enhancements to make it easier for brokers to search its criteria and get instant responses to queries on the lender's policy.

The new virtual search assistant, available on the criteria section of the Halifax Intermediaries website, is the first in a series of innovations in the pipeline to help simplify application processes.

Designed to provide an instant answer to policy or process questions, the tool aims to save brokers time and effort when looking to place business.

The lender has also added a guide to help brokers keying employed income into its system to simplify the income verification process on applications and reduce delays caused by potential changes. It also caters for clients on zero hours contracts and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) workers.

Ian Wilson, head of Halifax Intermediaries, said: “This programme has been developed based upon feedback from around 500 brokers in order to help make it easier for them to transact with their clients by focusing on the areas that were most important to them.

“Helping simplify and speed up processes through improved technology demonstrates our commitment to supporting the intermediary market by adapting to meet evolving needs.”
