My Home Move is the country’s largest independent provider of mover conveyancing services and together the businesses will employ nearly 1,000 people, delivering almost 100,000 completions per year.
APL was established nine years ago and grew to become the 6th largest conveyancing firm in the UK, completing over 900 sale and purchase transactions a month.
The pair have worked together through My Home Move’s Panel Management service.
The acquisition of Leeds-based APL will add to My Home Move’s network of offices in Leicester, Manchester and Northampton and enable it to expand into the North East.
Introducer relationships
My Home Move CEO Doug Crawford (pictured with Advantage Property Lawyers head of sales and marketing Stephen Coupland) said it acquired APL because of its size, reputation and long standing relationships with a number of significant introducers.
“This acquisition will enable My Home Move to support APL’s continued growth over the next few years as well as provide the opportunity for both organisations to share ideas and best practice as we grow together,” he said.
He added that the business would continue to invest in people, processes and innovative technology.
Coupland added: “We are delighted to have joined the My Home Move family, a change that will allow us to continue our growth in Leeds while, over time, building on our existing approach to tap in to some of the exceptional technology platforms that My Home Move has built for its clients and introducers.”
