In her first speaking slots post-FCA, ex-mortgage sector manager Lynda Blackwell will be revealing the key regulatory hurdles and pitfalls ahead for advisers at The Mortgage and Protection Event in London and Southampton.

Blackwell was the principal architect and policy-driving force behind the Mortgage Market Review (MMR) and spent 16 years with the regulator in various roles rising to mortgage sector manager in 2014.

The ex-regulator will share her invaluable insight into the regulator’s thinking as part of a packed agenda appearing in London and Southampton out of a series of four events.

Blackwell stepped down last week after resigning in July, exclusively reported by Mortgage Solutions, and notoriously faced down angry brokers repeatedly pre-and post-MMR in a run of public appearances for the regulator.

Blackwell said: “I welcome the opportunity to continue what has on occasion been a pretty ‘lively’ discussion and debate with brokers at the sharp end.”

Register now to join us at our series of free-to-attend, half-day Mortgage and Protection Events starting in London on 7 November and travelling to London, Manchester, Birmingham and Southampton over the following fortnight.

Delegates will benefit from an interactive programme tailored to mortgage and protection advisers, in association with Mortgage Solutions, an exhibition with 18 top lenders and CPD-accreditation.
