John Charcol appoints Walter Avrili director of product and technical
Mortgage broker John Charcol has promoted Walter Avrili to director of product and mortgage technical. 

 

 

Avrili (pictured) started his career at the independent broker in 1984 and will now lead the mortgage technical team to tailor products to client needs.

The move is aimed at strengthening the John Charcol’s relationships with lenders and improving technical offerings to clients and providers.

Avrili has also appointed Nick Morrey as mortgage technical manager with immediate effect to the technical team, which includes senior mortgage technical manager Ray Boulger.

The team plans to provide specialist training for its advisers in the London, Southampton and Birmingham offices, improving service for clients with complex lending requirements.

Avrili said: “Our mortgage technical service has always been a key part of what sets John Charcol apart from its competition.

“As the mortgage market becomes ever more complex, it’s essential that we respond to the needs of our clients by investing even more in training and product development to enhance our competitive edge.

“As an internal resource for our team of mortgage experts and through our external relationships with lenders we have exciting plans to develop, grow and improve the service, expertise and advice we can offer our clients while also seeking to bring innovation back to the industry.”
