Edward Payne, ex-regional sales manager for the south at Bank of Ireland has launched two broker firms, Clifton Mortgages and Familyfirstfinance.co.uk, a specialist broker targeting family lending needs.
After four years at Bank of Ireland, Payne launched the two Bristol-based brands last month, a mainstream and protection brokerage Clifton Mortgages and Familyfirstfinance.co.uk, both appointed representatives of network Julian Harris.
‘Family is everything’
Director Payne’s mission statement on the Familyfirstfinance.co.uk website explained: “Family is everything to me and I will make sure that I am able to advise you and your family on the best options and the best solution for your needs.”
He added: “There is a huge opportunity and need for advisers to help deal with the challenge of rising property prices, people living for longer and helping people to access the value in their homes.
“Hopefully the experience I’ve gained over the past 20 years will put me in a great position to help people with these issues while providing a good service. Wish me luck.”
Previously, Payne has been employed at Friends Life, Moneyfacts, Southern Pacific Personal Loans, Halifax and Yorkshire Building Society and has a law degree.
