The Mortgage Lender adds to sales team as Pete Thomson exits
The Mortgage Lender has expanded its sales team, after former sales and marketing director Pete Thomson left the company to pursue other opportunities.

The sales team has now been bolstered with the three additional business development managers and two new national account manager roles.

As part of the changes, Laura Sneddon and David Eaves are to be promoted to national account managers with responsibility for the Southern and Northern regions respectively.

Gordon Rae, who recently joined the team from Pepper Money, has been appointed as divisional development manager, with responsibility for East Anglia, London and the South East.

At the same time, Richard Angell is to join from Pepper Money and take on responsibility for the South Western region, while Malcolm Etchells, joining from The Coventry Building Society, is look after the North West.

David Jackson, from Metro Bank, will take ownership of the North Midlands region.

It comes as the telesales team has also expanded from three to nine, including a dedicated team manager. The lender said further new appointments to the sales team are to be announced shortly.

Future success

The Mortgage Lender chief executive Trevor Pothecary (pictured) said: “The expansion of the sales team from six to 10 marks a step change in our growth ambitions.

“We’re delighted to be welcoming such experienced new business development managers to the team and look forward to strengthening existing broker relationships and building new ones.

“I’d also like to thank Pete Thomson for his contribution to The Mortgage Lender and wish him every success in future ventures.”
