RateSetter boosts risk team
Peer-to-peer lender RateSetter has boosted its credit and risk team with two appointments.

Jim Gunner has joined the board as a non-executive director and chair of the risk committee. Most of his career has been spent specialising in risk management, with roles at HSBC Holdings, Midland Bank and Merrill Lynch HSBC.

Gunner represented HSBC at the British Bankers’ Association for many years and was seconded as a consultant to the now defunct Financial Services Authority.

Nigel Wilkinson has been appointed as head of commercial credit for RateSetter to ensure the sustainable growth of the company’s commercial lending operation.

Wilkinson has more than 30 years’ experience at HSBC and JP Morgan in credit risk management and transaction origination and execution.
