Commercial arm of Amicus receives support from RBS
The small business-focussed arm of specialist lender Amicus has received a boost in the form of a financial partnership with Royal Bank of Scotland.

Amicus Commercial Finance launched in November last year and provides a revolving working capital facility powered by a proprietary funding platform, using smart technology and real-time data connectivity. It offers cash flow solutions to owner-managed businesses with annual sales of between £500,000 and £5m through the firm.

The company has now been provided with investment support through an asset-based lending facility from RBS.

A spokesperson for Amicus told Specialist Lending Solutions that the new commercial finance proposition was geared to growing the company’s offering to support a range of financial needs for small businesses.

Amicus Commercial Finance is led by John Wilde and David Hogg, who built SME Invoice Finance Limited from a start-up in 2000 to a national firm generating annual revenues of £12m when it was sold to Metro Bank in 2013.
