Brown Shipley appoints Richard Stubbs head of lending
Wealth planning, investment management and private banking firm Brown Shipley has appointed Richard Stubbs to the newly created role of head of lending.

Stubbs will be responsible for driving forward the general lending services offered by Brown Shipley that include bridging loans and residential buy-to-let.

Prior to Brown Shipley, Stubbs was an executive director at Coutts and his most recent role saw him leading a team that managed the Bank’s ultra high net worth clients. He will be supported by a wider team of five lending specialists across Brown Shipley’s six offices, providing both secured and unsecured loans.

Guy Healey, head of private banking at Brown Shipley, said: “We have ambitious growth targets for building our lending book, so I’m pleased to have someone of Richard’s calibre join our team. Moreover, lending is a core part of our overall wealth management offering and deepens our ability to support clients across the full spectrum of their wealth management needs.”

Stubbs added: “There is a real opportunity for Brown Shipley to further expand its lending services to existing and prospective clients and I will be working hard with my team to deliver this. With a tailored approach based on human decision-making and flexibility, Brown Shipley’s lending solutions are suitable for a range of client needs.”

Brown Shipley is owned by Luxembourg-based KBL European Private Bankers and has offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Edinburgh and Nottingham. Clients looking for a loan need to have £500,000 invested with the firm.
