Roma Finance strengthens underwriting team as business levels rise
Specialist bridging lender Roma Finance has bolstered its underwriting team on the back of strengthening business volumes.

The lender has promoted Daniel Hill to bridging sales specialist and Lorraine Hart to senior underwriter.

The promotions are part of a restructuring of the underwriting team and also see Tina Parry promoted to underwriter and Jenny Gillies to underwriting assistant.

Last summer Roma secured a multi-million pound funding line from Royal Bank of Scotland, allowing it to lend a further £50m a year over the next three years.

Scott Marshall (pictured), managing director, said the promotions would enable to firm to cope with its increasing demand.

“The funding from RBS gave a massive boost to business levels. The time is right for Dan’s promotion and the development of other underwriting staff in the company to take on more responsibility as business levels continue to rise,” he added.

Commenting on his promotion, Hill said: “in my new role I will take on greater underwriting and case review responsibilities to help our introducers and their customers on a wide variety of applications as the property and bridging finance markets continue to develop. I look forward to continuing to provide excellent service to existing and new introducers and helping the business reach its future growth targets.”
