West One sales appointments to fuel growth
Specialist lender West One Loans has doubled its sales force and added to its broker support team.

The expansion follows the lender’s move into second charge mortgages, adding to its traditional bridging focus.

It aims to increase its national coverage as part of ambitious growth plans. In June West One lent £62m, a record for the firm, taking the total under management to over £400m.

John Steel, who joins from specialist lender Together, will cover new business development in the North of England & Scotland; Matthew Watson, who has transferred from West One’s parent company Enra Group, will take responsibility for the South Coast and South West.

In addition, Lauren Snee and Laura Hollis will expand back office support for West One’s brokers, and support newly-promoted broker sales manager, Danny Scoltock.

Marie Grundy (pictured), sales director for West One, said: “This strengthening of our sales organisation is a critical component of our growth strategy and ensures that we not only have nationwide coverage of our key broker partners, but also the back office bench-strength to give them the service they expect from an agile business like West One.”
