Former Marks and Spencer Bank CEO appointed to Together’s retail board
The former chief executive officer of Marks and Spencer Bank has been appointed to specialist lender Together’s retail board as an independent non-executive director.

Colin Kersley (pictured) has been working in financial services for over 40 years, having joined Midland Bank in 1975 and HSBC in 1995. He worked closely with the independent board of M&S Bank to convert the card company to a bank, which was launched in 2012.

Kersley will also chair the retail audit committee at the lender, which offers specialist loans including bridging and second charge finance.

“The business is growing rapidly and the alternative finance sector as a whole is really changing the landscape of the financial services industry”, said Kersley, adding that his prior experience will provide valuable insight to guide the business in the right direction.

Group chairman Mike McTighe said Kersley’s proven ability to deliver results will be “invaluable in helping us to develop our retail division in line with our growth strategy.”
