This week’s award goes to Peter Strauss for his comment under the story: TMW direct-to-consumer BTL pilot ‘fraught with problems’, brokers say.
Because of the type of mortgage offering TMW supply, mortgage broker folk need to take on board applicants may well be seasoned (and possibly more mature in years and correspondingly wise) property investors and mortgage holders – very well capable of negotiating their needs at a ‘retail level’. What we need are multiple platforms for both advice and access, in a similar vein the ‘one size fits all’ new stress tests are equally nonsensical.
I can understand brokers being protective of a ‘broker only’ accessed lending source and would respect cries of foul play at that level – no need to dress it up, we all want to earn a living!
