This week the accolade goes to Mark Green for his response to the post: Lenders should consider increasing proc fees to match longer term fixes – McCoy.
He said: “Proc fees haven’t really gone up since paper application days.
“Now a broker delivers clients, provides advice, swims through a deep swamp of regulation, types the application onto the lender’s system and packages the case, uploading all necessary documents.
“In return we get nothing but poor service, disrespectful and overworked staff using pedantic and nonsensical reasons to get cases off their desk for another week.
“It’s beyond me why I feel I have to get involved in mortgage advice at all.”
