Retail record-breaker Julian Richer is planning to enter the mortgage market with the launch of Home Financial Services.

Richer, founder of hi-fi chain Richer Sounds, plans to apply his strong customer service ethos to the IFA market “in the foreseeable future

David Pollock, director at the agency, said plans were already afoot to launch Home Financial Services. He said: “We have adopted a radical approach and are now looking to develop a mortgage advice facility through IFA Green & Company

Pollock refused to be drawn on the structure of Home Financial Services, but possible features could include ‘retail-type’ outlets where customers are free to browse and drink coffee, as well as a customer charter
