An improved online term assurance quotation service has been unveiled by the Exchange as part of its service restructure.

The new service offers a wider range of products, benefits and options to intermediaries.

The breadth of the service has been increased to cover specialist term-based products such as gift inter vivos and decreasing term contracts. The critical illness option has been expanded to include standalone and combined contracts with different levels of cover and, for the first time, waiver of premium is available on both a health and unemployment basis. The service allows other benefits, such as MPPI, keyperson options and accidental death benefit, to be added to core benefits.

David Dalton-Brown, managing director at the Exchange, said: “Many insurers in the market are now offering life, health and general insurance benefits together in a single plan. As a result, brokers need access to a wider range and combination of products than ever before.”

The appearance of the service has also been streamlined with different product areas highlighted, making it easier for brokers to access quotes, product information and news relating specifically to the product they are researching.

Dalton-Brown added: “The focus on product areas will make it much quicker for brokers to access the quote services and all news and product information within each area will relate to that product.”

The service has been re-branded from eXweb to ‘exchange’.
