Home-loan packager Mortgage Next is offering a range of health and mortgage protection plans underwritten by Scottish Provident.

The menu-based protection range, called Futures, includes term, critical illness, income replacement and a healthcare cash plan. Brokers looking to sell products from the Futures range will be given quotation software, sales aids, training and a 24-hour customer helpline.

Martin Maynard, managing director of Mortgage Next, said: “The introduction of Futures represents the next stage of the strategic development of Mortgage Next. We will continue to listen to the 5,000 advisers registered with us and work with them on the development of further products to provide them with ongoing opportunities to generate extra income.”

Mortgage Next was set up in 1996 and took in over 19,000 mortgage applications last year, facilitating around £1.2bn in mortgage lending.
