Marlborough Sterling Mortgage Services (MSMS) has secured a £3m contract to process some mortgage applications for Alliance & Leicester’s customers.

The lender made the decision because it required extra resources to process applications following a recent increase in mortgage business, but did not want to have to expand its infrastructure.

The initial 12-month contract will be implemented in the next 10 weeks, and means that the lender will join Egg, Prudential Bank and London Mortgage Company as clients of MSMS.
