Skipton has purchased Norwich Union's (NU) residential mortgage portfolio for an undisclosed amount....

Skipton has purchased Norwich Union’s (NU) residential mortgage portfolio for an undisclosed amount. The deal means that NU will pull out of direct mortgage lending for good. Mike Perry, spokesman for Skipton, said: ‘I can confirm that we have bought Norwich Union’s closed mortgage book, but can not reveal the amount of the sale at this time.’
