High Street Home Loans is to recruit up to 40 medium-sized mortgage intermediaries to create a new distribution channel.

The firm would like to talk to companies or individuals that process between 30 and 40 mortgages a month and are capable of delivering valuation reports and processing client applications.

Gary Forrest, High Street Home Loans’ joint managing director, said: ‘The firms we would like to work with will be able to demonstrate they already have a good distribution channel in place and have experience of doing packaging, albeit on a limited scale.’

Firms accepted will receive a priority service and have a role in the writing of their mortgage business with the lender. This will particularly focus on the issuing of valuations and the processing of mortgage applications. There will be an enhanced range of procuration fees for packagers on the company’s range.
