Self-build specialist Buildstore has expanded its panel of lenders for Buildloan to include Mortgage Express. The Mortgage Express Buildloan product offers a three-year fixed rate loan at 5.99% and lets self-builders borrow up to 95% of land costs and 95% of build costs. Unlike other self-build products the loan provides payments up-front so borrowers can buy materials in advance. It also enables self-builders to stay in their own homes while building their new one. The loan is available to people who are employed, self-employed or working on contract.
