IFA support services group Impartial is to launch an information booklet for mortgage brokers and IFAs to give to their clients.

The booklet will give a detailed explanation of mortgage-related issues in an easy-to-read style. Topics covered include first-time buyers, mortgage types, independent advice, insurance and remortgaging.

Mike Owen, managing director of Impartial, believes the booklet will help brokers comply with the statutory regulations: ‘As well as being a sales aid, the booklet can assist with compliance. It details the options available to the client and explains potential pitfalls. If a broker has recorded that they have given a copy of the booklet to the client, it can help prove the broker has explained the information to the client.’

As well as being a compliance aid, Owen also said it will act as a marketing tool for advisers.

l The booklets cost 30p each with a minimum order of 100. Contact: 020 8906 6603
