The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has announced it will offer a special rate for access to its interactive Mortgage Advice Qualification (MAQ) training material. The offer has made in an attempt to aid the 5,220 brokers, due to take the remaining two MAQ exams, to pass first time.
Recently released figures show that 1,300 intermediaries passed the MAQ exam in October, only 55% of the 2,352 who sat it. Available via the institute’s online education service, the material will cost £50, reduced from £110. Lucy Courtenay, CII qualifications director, said that in order to pass first time, the training material was no substitute for proper preparation. ‘My advice is to make sure your studies have covered all areas of the syllabus and that you are fully prepared,’ she said.
