Sub-prime lender, Mortgages plc, has announced the appointment of two new area managers. Simon Cossons and Keith Johnston will manage key broker and packager relationships in the South. Having worked as a self-employed mortgage broker for a year, Johnston has taken the position of area manager to cover the South West corridor including Gloucester, Dorset and parts of South Wales. In total, he has over 12 years’ experience in the finance industry working as a broker, for general insurance provider, Select and Protect, and for mortgage network, TMO.
Cossons, who has over 17 years’ experience in the finance industry, will cover the South East including Essex, Kent and the Medway area. Before joining Mortgages plc, Cossons worked as a broker consultant for Scottish Life for five years and before that for National Counties Building Society as business development manager for mortgages.
