Intermediary network, Premier Protection, has expanded into the mortgage market with a venture allowing mortgage brokers to access life, medical and general insurance products through one source.

Mike Cooke, managing director of the new division, Premier Connections, said: ‘Our objective is to provide members with ‘best of breed’ products and services from financial organisations whose systems, service and support are already proven to be market leading.’

The four product areas covered by the Premier brand are: Premier Protection, which covers term assurance, critical illness cover, and income protection; Premier Health, which covers private medical insurance; Premier Insurance, which covers general insurance products, including buildings and contents and mortgage protection; and Premier Mortgages, which offers residential and commercial mortgages.

Cooke said: ‘We have formed a strategic alliance with CETA to make a range of products available via Premier Insurance. Premier Mortgages will give members access to the full spectrum of mortgage products, via four top mortgage clubs.’

• The network has confirmed 12 dates for its 2003 roadshow, starting on 28 January in Reading.
