Commercial First

Commercial First has appointed Stephen Kisby as its business development manager for the North and the Midlands. He will be responsible for the broker community in these areas as Commercial First intensifies its efforts to build a distribution channel in the region.

Kisby joins Commercial First’s sales team from mortgageforce, where he was a regional development manager.

He has previously worked for Norwich & Peterborough Building Society, Woolwich, The Mortgage Business, Capital Home Loans and Advantage Mortgage Services.

Stephen Johnson, sales and marketing director of Commercial First, said: ‘Stephen’s appointment signals the start of our efforts to build a major sales force of respected and dynamic individuals who will help us to redefine commercial lending in this country. Other people, of similar calibre, will also be joining us in the weeks ahead. It is going to be an exciting 12 months for anyone associated with this business.’

Portman Building Society

Portman BS has appointed Andrew McQueen as its director of marketing. McQueen will be responsible for all marketing functions within the Portman Group.

McQueen joins the Society from Goldman Sachs where he was involved in the publishing, dotcom and financial services sectors.

Matthew Wyles, group development director of Portman BS, said: ‘I am delighted we have succeeded in attracting someone of Andrew’s calibre. His appointment further strengthens our senior management team and I am confident Andrew will make a valuable contribution to our continuing success.’
