Mortgage broker, Savills Private Finance, (SPF) arranged over £1.5bn worth of mortgages last year, reporting a pre-tax profit of £1.99m for the year ended 31 December 2002.
This more than doubled the £937, 000 made before tax in 2001. SPF focuses on the high net worth market and has 10 offices in the UK. A further two offices situated in Glasgow and Southampton are planned for this year.
Mark Harris, managing director of SPF, said: ‘Although residential mortgages remain our core business, we have expanded into the specialist areas of financial planning, commercial debt broking and general insurance.’
SPF is part of the Savills Group, which reported a profit of £29.2m, up 60% on last year’s £18.2m figure.
