Assurant Solutions has created a new mortgage repayment protection plan product in Ireland for Simply Mortgages designed to give Irish consumers more choice.
The Assurant Solutions mortgage repayment protection plan means the consumer can decide if they want to take involuntary unemployment cover only, or accident and sickness cover or all the options together.
The plan also means should an accident or sickness result in hospitalisation, the benefit will be paid after seven days rather than 30 days.
Drazen Jaksic, sales and marketing director of Assurant Solutions, said: “We believe the one-size-fits-all product mostly commonly available to consumers no longer suits the typical borrower’s needs. Our products have been developed with today’s customers in mind, with insurance cover that can be adapted to their individual needs and budgets.”
