Propertyfinder has announced the appointment of Charles Wasdell as the new head of consumer marketing.

Wasdell has a strong track record in marketing and online business, and joins from Moveme, where he ran industry and consumer marketing activities.He has previously worked for HSBC, Boots, Nestlé, John Smith’s and Madame Tussauds.

Gillian Kent, chief executive of the firm, said: “We are investing heavily in marketing the Propertyfinder brand. Charles’ experience is just what we need to raise the consumer profile of Propertyfinder. We are already breaking site traffic records and we want to push that even harder.”

Evaluate Technologies

Evaluate Technologies has continued its recruitment drive with the addition of four highly experienced test analysts.

The new appointments – Judie Duzniak, Lisa Ray, Leonard Thomson and Richard Bennett – have a combined total of over 30 years’ experience operating in the mortgage market across various roles in lending institutions.

These additions have resulted in the expansion of its internal testing team to 11 members.

Cheval

Short-term mortgage specialist Cheval has announced that director of sales & marketing Mark Posniak will be leaving the company in December to join software house Linksfield Technologies.

Linksfield is the developer of Cheval’s electronic underwriting software.

Alan Margolis, chief operating officer at Cheval, said: “Mark has been a prominent personality in the bridging finance sector these past few years and can be proud of his achievements both with Cheval and in helping to found the Association of Short Term Lenders.”

Paragon

The Paragon Group has announced a restructure of board responsibilities, with Pawan Pandya, the chief operating officer, leaving the firm.

The ­reorganisation has resulted in the removal of Pandya’s role, with his responsibilities, which included consumer loan servicing, IT and support services, to be managed elsewhere in the group.

This decision follows changes within the group earlier in the year, which resulted in a 30% reduction in staff. n
