Assurant Solutions Intermediary

Assurant Solutions Intermediary has announced that Kevin Paterson has joined its senior management team as sales & marketing director.

Paterson has spent his career in sales and marketing roles within the financial services sector, most recently as commercial & marketing director of Enterprise Group. Prior to that, he was sales director for Park Row Group for six years. Assurant said Paterson has extensive knowledge of the industry, across most product and distribution channels, and an acute understanding of the needs of intermediaries in providing high quality products and services to their clients.

Standard Life

Standard Life has appointed David Scott to the position of head of distribution development.

Based in Edinburgh and reporting into Stephen Ingledew, distribution strategy director, Scott will be charged with leading the strategic development of a more efficient operating model both internally and externally.

He joins Standard Life from Bankhall Investment Associates, where he was operations and IT director, with responsibilities including member services, IT development and e-business.

Leeds Building Society

Stewart Bannister has been appointed as marketing communications manager at Leeds Building Society.

Bannister boasts a wealth of experience within financial services, having previously worked for Leeds Permanent Building Society and Halifax.

In his new role at the Society, he will be formulating and driving forward the Society’s marketing and communication strategies.

Lowell Group

Leeds-based debt purchasing specialist Lowell Group has appointed Neil Kendall as project manager.

Kendall is a business and IT change professional with several years’ experience in FTSE 100 financial services companies, including Scottish Widows, HBoS and Royal Bank of Scotland. He has a postgraduate diploma in information technology and is a member of both the Association for Project Management and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

John Stewart, head of IT at the Lowell Group, said: “We are a data driven business operating at the forefront of information technology so we are continually exploring new systems and technologies in order to maintain our competitive advantage. Neil will be a great asset to the business.

“He has a proven track record of managing and delivering successful projects on time and within budget.” n
