Tesco property website expected within weeks

Tesco is expected to launch a property website within weeks.

It is understood that the website will allow homeowners to advertise a property for around £200 and that Tesco will work with Spicerhaart on the venture.

Tesco abandoned plans to launch an online website in 2007 due to existing legislation. However, the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) report yesterday that recommended that existing legislation should be relaxed to allow new entrants will pave the way for Tesco to move into the market.
