Cheval starts out on bridging finance roadshows
In a bid to close what it calls "the knowledge gap", Cheval is offering a series of adviser roadshows.

The Blue Skies Bridging Roadshows are intended to spell out to intermediaries where they could be missing out on opportunities to use bridging, and how it can be used to boost their income, said Cheval.

Gareth Lewis, Cheval’s national sales manager, said: “A third of brokers regularly state that they have never used bridging finance before, and more than half tell us that they have only done bridging deals infrequently or just once before. In the present financial climate where access to funding is limited, brokers need to be aware of how bridging finance can be used to help their clients, as well as being a further income stream.”

Cheval said bridging should be considered with time sensitive transactions like buying at auction, settling bills at short notice, or securing a new property prior to selling an existing home.

The next Blue Skies roadshow will take place in Manchester on 16 September 2010. The morning seminar will begin at 10am with a coffee registration and include presentations, discussion tables and a networking buffet lunch.
