Goldsmith Williams launches free client fact find
Goldsmith Williams has begun trialling a free fact find service for users of its conveyancing service, offering client credit checks, valuations and anti money laundering ID reports.

The online service is powered through the Omnii CheckIT facility.

Credit checks will not leave a footprint on clients’ credit files and will identify all loans and debts held by the client. Adverse credit information, such as any missed payments and CCJs, will also be revealed.

Brokers can also obtain an anti money laundering ID check and confirm the value of their clients’ property.

Eddie Goldsmith, senior partner at Goldsmith Williams, said: “The reports will save brokers a lot of time and prevent wasted effort, by giving them hard, factual information before they make a recommendation to a client.”

Nick Berry, managing director of Omnii, said: “As well as helping with existing clients, CheckIT can be used as a new business tool. It gives prospective clients an accurate summary of their credit status and house value, which is an invaluable aid when planning either a house move or when remortgaging. The system also reveals renewal dates, which can be used by brokers for CRM purposes in the future.”
