Mike Jones confirmed mortgage sales boss at LBG

Mike Jones has been appointed the new mortgage sales director for Lloyds Banking Group.

Jones will hold responsibility for all mortgage sales activity across Lloyds Banking Group brands. He will oversee intermediary sales, direct sales via the branch network and telephony and internet sales.

Jones replaces previous sales director Nigel Stockton who begins his new role as financial services development director at Countrywide on 1 October.

Jones brings extensive sales and service experience with him, having most recently held the role of network director, London and South East for Lloyds TSB Community Bank, said Lloyds.

Colin Walsh, managing director, mortgages said: “I am extremely pleased to welcome Mike to this high profile role. I know he brings with him expertise and enthusiasm, this will help us to continue to grow and shape our leading mortgage business.”

Lloyds Banking Group has over 30 million customers and lends one in every three mortgages in the UK.

The Group’s main brands include; Lloyds TSB, Bank of Scotland, Halifax, Scottish Widows and Cheltenham & Gloucester.
